What does it mean to be an artist?

I meet artists and ask them to transmit me a fragment of their work. Using my body as an archive, I incorporate these transmissions to tell their stories: how they became artists, how they work, how much is their work worth? what drives them to do what they do in the artistic contexts they operate in?

In telling their stories, I tell my own story. Placing side by side the artistic practices from various horizons in their relationship with the art market and society at large. Reflecting on being a woman artist and taking my own body as a political manifesto. Until 2019, I collected 18 artists in various cities around the world: Bergen, Salzburg, Faro, Warsaw, Cincinnati, New York, Loule, Berlin, Orléans, Porto, Montemor-o-Novo and Lisbon.
